The problem is not Obama or Romney, the Democrats or Republicans.
The problem is that we have a Congress and Senate composed of people who sold their soul to corporations to get elected.
We have people running the country only concerned about satisfying their corporate masters and the people have all become expendable.
Plato identified the problem 2400 years ago when he said: "Virtue and greed is inversely proportional"!
A Capitalist system is a system based on greed and a capitalist nation is a nation without virtue.

We are looking at all the menacing trees our corporate news media warn us about and have lost sight of life and what is of real value.
We are manipulated by people such as Brothers Kooch that see power and wealth as the only human virtue.
We are ruled by those that see compassion and empathy as human weaknesses, sociopaths every one of them.
These people might be well advised to listen to what Egyptians said about 6000 years ago: "If there is an afterlife will you spend it avoiding those you have wronged in this life?"

Well said, well said! Hear, hear!

Thank you Clara:
Now I do not understand which part of that was so difficult for others to understand.
(Then I never could understand the mind of someone who cared more for the content of his wallet than the needs of a child or fellow citizen.)
There is no reason we can't provide for everyone and if someone wants proof of how idiotic our system is or how much more we have to pay just because people in the Government work for corporations all they need to look at is our medicare system or health care in general.

We are all in this together, if we work together we can all live good but if we do not cooperate it becomes a toil for us all.
Very true. What's hard for cons to understand are your statements about corporations that amount to apostasy among economic religious circles.  What made Bernie Madoff's scam such a success is the economic religion. First one must recognize that much of what cons believe regarding economics is based more on faith in a theoretical system than based on hard facts.
