I was astonished at the responses to the official statement.  I wasn't hot headed, just extremely surprised, flabbergasted, and amazed anyone would think that was an appropriate response.

I wonder how they feel now that te WH has distanced themselves from the release?

And now it turns out that the video may have just been a cover for a planned attack timed to coincide with 9/11!

Did you see what I posted on the other thread, the tipping point thread, concerning what they were chanting?

Yeah.

So why does Romney appear to be on the political defensive today?
...and defensive regarding his own wing of his own party, too. Chalk it up to premature ejaculation, with a dash of partisan prescience that Jeb Bush posessed when he called in to contradict election pollsters in the 2000 election. He had, after all, vowed to "deliver" Florida to the GOP.  I've also heard scuttlebutt that co-ordinating the video promo with 9/11 events was intended to generate a situation similar to Jimmy Carter's Iran hostage situation via which Romney could swoop in and save Americans just like Reagan did with his Iran-Contra deal with the terrorists.

But Loose Lips Romney spilt his beans too soon.  On the other hand, this is just another cockamamie conspiracy theory and Romney's just as naturally prescient as Jeb Bush.  God tells him stuff before it happens.
