Hey, Ken...

If I had an issue that was REALLY important to me, and kentay said, "I've got your back", there seriously isn't a living person on this Earth that I'd put more trust in than kentay.  He's honest to a fault...and would take his obligation (if he tendered it) to the ends of the Earth.  How can I say this?  I've known him for years...way back even before Arianna Online.

He and I share a lot of experiences in our lives.  We even share the fact that I was a Democrat for over thirty years.   Here's where the rubber STARTS leaving the road.  When I was a Democrat the party consisted of honorable men and women...folks who put the nation first, and the American way of life as the guiding principles upon which they functioned.  Now kentay is trying to "have their backs", and they've left him in the dust...thrown him under the bus, in the modern vernacular.  Ken is a Christian, and those he adheres to AREN'T by any reasonable measure.  Ken honors the military, and HIS party tries to even prevent them from voting, if they serve overseas.  I could go on, but -- dear reader -- you probably get the point.

ken is listening to voices that try to tell America that Obama is doing a good job.  If he's doing a good job, God help the nation if he quits doing such a fine job.  When Biden -- or some other leftist -- eloquently tells us that XXXXXX jobs have been created when all we have to do is look at the unemployment figures to see it as a lie, ken continues to "have their backs".

I admire his faithfulness to those he's chosen...unfortunately they quit "choosing" him, and instead have chosen socialism, which I don't really believe ken endorses.

Ken, I'd love to see you become a conservative...you'd be a strong voice for correctness

I don't know him as a person.  I see a posting character.  I see a mean spirited, antagonistic character.  There are so many times one can be called a racist, a hypocrite, and a liar before they get angry and in my case to the point where you no longer respect his opinions or take him seriously.  It is almost as if he has chosen to post as a caricature of a liberal.  His post are that comical.  I think of Mr Burns when I see his name.

I also don't think he realizes just how bigoted he comes across as a poster.  Maybe he will listen to you.

If you have a personal relationship with him I can respect that.  But I don't and all I see is an anonymous posting character.  There are a few I know in outside of these forums.  And many hold the same views as they do here.
A reminder for kentay:

I would be a conservative myself if conservatives believed in something other than fiction, such as what you've said about voting and veterans.  It's just that some people know better than that.  Last time I checked, that's how Ardd feels although Arianna's principles remain questionable.  Good ole Ardd--founder of both Hypercrites.com and Hypercrites.org. Very disappointed with Arianna, who really isn't a gauge to go by when sizing up Democrats. She used to be a conservative.

Ummm, what was before Arianna Online?  That's about where I jumped in.

And speaking of the good ole Arianna days, I looked into when the DBS domain might be up for sale and it won't be for years, and I'd have to buy it offa corporation besides. Got any back stories to that situation, perchance?

Woody, how far back do you go with AO? ...or were you just exclusively with HC?

One of the boards that comes to mind  (before AO) is a board run by a character named
TC Linoge.   He vanished from the scene -- along with his pretty interesting board at least two years before Arianna broke loose.  He was a liberal but a quite civil one.  He was the one and only moderator but I can't remember even one occasion of overstepping his power.  I do remember kentay posting there, and one time Linoge blasted his socks off for some truly stupid stuff.  Ken was quiet for a few weeks.

Wow.  MAN this board is slow tonight....

Look what I found via Google, dated 2002]http://haagndork.blogspot.com/2002_10_13_archive.html]I found via Google, dated 2002 when I googled that name.

Ya, that was well before my time and I'll wager well before Ardd's too, as I recall he was a Huffington operative back in the beginning. He's long gone offline too for the last couple years.

Mike I have voted for many Republicans over my lifetime, I just can't do it with today's Republican Party because as a Christian man.  I would have to violate, overlook or pretend that words of Christ don't matter or mean anything to me if I made myself a member of today's Republican Party. There are things I don't like about the Democratic Party too but at least they are closer to Christ teachings towards my fellow man and the least among us. I am an Independent who leans toward the Democratic party because I don't agree with today's Republican Party and I have never agreed with the Libertarian party even though there are a few things I could vote for,  that Libertarians believe. There really are only two major Commandments for Christians and if you believe in them and accept them then all the rest falls into place deep down in your soul. They are as follows: kentay

Matthew 22:37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38  This is the first and great commandment.

39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

40  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Luke 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

And this

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Kentay, as a self described Christian man do you have a problem with the party having a very contentious vote to put god back in the platform?

Sorry, I don't buy it.  You profess your Christianity on these forums.  You twist the faith in a convoluted manner to create angst and to support your agenda.  Then you claim Barry ordered it.  That is false.  He knew of this for days.  He jumped on it because he realized how bad it looked.  You don't have an ounce of criticism based on the fact they had to vote this in?  None?

Everybody twists faith to suit agenda convenience pursuant to either what they've been taught by others or faction religiopolitical view.  That's why we have a bazillion different denominations.

That's also Exhibit A evidence why they're all false.  That's one of a number of reasons I'm an atheist.

Bullshit.  Not everybody does.  Look at the posters here.  I can think of maybe two who twist faith to suit agenda.
